Potential Michigan State Hockey Coach Frontrunner Says He’s Out Of The Mix
Michigan State hockey is still looking for a new head coach and some news came out over the weekend that a Spartan coaching alumni will not be behind the bench.
George Gwozdecky, the former Ron Mason assistant, has stated that while he has been in contact with Michigan State he plans on staying with Valor Christian, the Colorado prep school he currently coaches.
After a comment from George Sipple last week revealed that Gwozdecky and Danton Cole were the front runners for the head coaching job, it would appear that at this point the job is Cole's to turn down. He was considered the runner up in the last hockey coach search Michigan State had when they hired Tom Anastos.
