Rick Porcello threw his second consecutive shutout win as the Detroit Tigers blanked the Oakland A's 3-0 Tuesday night at Comerica Park. Porcello (11-4) only gave up four hits in nine innings. He did not strike anyone out but was able to induce 17 ground outs.  It was the first time since 1986 that a Tigers pitcher pitched back to back complete game shutouts and ran Porcello's consecutive scoreless innings streak to 25. The Tigers (46-34) leading 1-0 in the 6th, broke the game open when J.D. Martinez hit a two run home run that provided the final margin of victory. Brad Mills (1-1) gave up all three runs and took the loss for Oakland (51-32). The two teams complete their series Wednesday afternoon when Justin Verlander (6-7) will throw for Detroit while Jesse Chavez (6-4) will start for Oakland. Pregame coverage begins at 12:40pm on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
