Back in June Andre Drummond was invited to participate in training camp for the USA World Cup team.  As camp begins next week, he has withdrawn from the camp.

According to M-Live, the Pistons center has withdrawn and will not be a part of the camp which begins on Monday, August 5th in Las Vegas. Former Michigan State and current Memphis Grizzlies Forward, Jaren Jackson Jr. has been added to the select team roster.

The select team roster and national team members are set to begin camp for the upcoming World Cup.  The World Cup will be August 31st to September 15th in China.  The tournament will feature teams from 32 countries.

Players like Brook Lopez, Kyle Lowery, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker are among the members of the national team expected.

Drummond and the Pistons will try to improve on their first round playoff appearance last season when the regular season begins this fall.
