PGA golfer Dan Olsen has retracted statements he made last week about Tiger Woods.

Olsen, an East Lansing native, appeared on Mad Dog in the Morning Friday, Feb. 26, and said he had heard that Woods was suspended for a failed drug test. He also said Woods may be using illegal equipment.

On Monday, Olsen issued a retraction.

"I retract the entire interview," Olsen said in a statement to WVFN. "My comments were ill-advised. I want to apologize to Nike, the PGA Tour, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Tim Finchem."

Olsen first played on the PGA Tour in 1989. He is also a PGA Teaching Professional at Walnut Hills Country Club in East Lansing.
