I'll start by saying that this is NOT a late April Fool's joke. Now, that being said, you should know that parts of Mid-Michigan are under a Winter Weather Advisory. According to the National Weather Service, the Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect tonight (Wednesday, April 10th) at 9pm and will run through tomorrow morning (Thursday, Aprill 11th) at 10am. Counties in the Winter Weather Advisory include: Allegan; Barry; Eaton; Ionia; Kent; Montcalm; Muskegon; Newaygo; Oceana and Ottawa.

The National Weather Service says that the areas under the advisory can expect to see some mixed wintry precipitation. Rain will develop tonight and will change to wet snow around midnight. Slushy snow accumulations of one to two inches and a light glaze of ice is possible. It will also be windy as the National Weather Service says the counties in the advisory could see wind gusts over 30 miles per hour.
