Oscar Pistorius, the South African double-leg amputee who made the Olympics four years ago, was sentenced to six years in prison in a South African courtroom on Wednesday morning.

Pistorius was originally convicted of manslaughter in the murder of his girlfriend, which occurred in 2013.  But his conviction was elevated to murder by an appeals court.

No word yet on whether Oscar will appeal the sentencing.  He will be eligible for parole in three years.
