Alabama head football coach Nick Saban (pictured) has agreed to a three-year contract extension that would keep him in Tuscaloosa through 2025, the University Board of Trustees voted on Tuesday.

ESPN is reporting that Saban will see his base salary increased to just under $6.5 million.  That makes him amongst the highest-paid coaches in college football.

The former Michigan State head coach has won four national championships during his ten seasons thus far at Alabama (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015).  And he has won six Southeastern Conference championships during that same time frame.
