The field had a newly painted logo at midfield that according to reports is slick and hard surfaced. Stadium officials tried to rectify the situation while teams and their coaches were sent off the field during warmups.

The game was supposed to start at 8:00 P.M. between the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts. Notable players and coaches inducted into the hall of fame this weekend from these two franchises include Brett Favre, Tony Dungy and Marvin Harrison.

This is only the 2nd time in the over 50 years history of the game that the Hall of Fame game will not be played. The first cancellation was in 2011 when the NFL lockout cancelled the event.
