The NCAA announced on Monday morning that they are in preliminary talks with the city of Indianapolis, and the state of Indiana to relocate the entire 2021 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament to the greater Indianapolis area for next March and April.

The 2021 Final Four is slated for Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium next April 3rd & 5th.  And the greater Indianapolis area has many gymnasiums that can host NCAA Tournament games.

Bankers Life Fieldhouse (home of the NBA's Indiana Pacers) has hosted Big Ten men's and women's tournament games in the recent past.  And Hinkle Fieldhouse (home of Butler University) has hosted the Indiana High School finals for years.  Those are among the venues the NCAA can use to play next spring's tournament.

The NCAA did not conduct the 2020 NCAA Men's and Women's Tournament because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that began last March.
