MSU, U-M Rugby Teams To Battle In Downtown Lansing

The Lansing Lugnuts announced on Monday morning that Cooley Law School Stadium will host a rugby match between the Michigan State University and University of Michigan Rugby teams this coming October.

The match is being billed as "The Battle For The Mitten".  And it will be the first sporting event, other than baseball, to be played at the home of the Midwest League's Lansing Lugnuts.

It will take place on Friday, October 19th in downtown Lansing at 7:00pm.  That's one day before the annual Michigan State-Michigan football game in Spartan Stadium.
