MSU, U-M Players Make All-Big Ten Teams

The 2021 All-Big Ten football teams have been announced over the last two days.  And there are many players on both Michigan State and Michigan that have made the squads.

First of all, Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year on Monday.

Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year as well as the Defensive Lineman of the Year.  Michigan outside linebacker David Ojabo also made first-team, as did defensive back Daxton Hill.

Michigan's Jake Moody was named the B1G Kicker of the Year on Monday as well.  And on Tuesday, running back Hassan Haskins made first team as did offensive lineman Andrew Stueber.

Wolverines making the reserve teams were:  Cade McNamara, Blake Corum, and A.J. Henning (all 3rd team selections).

As for Michigan State, running back Kenneth Walker, III (pictured above) was named the conference's Running Back of the Year as well as first-team All-Big Ten.  He was the only Spartan to make first-team either on offense or defense

Spartans who made the second and third teams were:  Jacub Panasiuk, Bryce Baringer, and Jayden Reed.

Ohio State freshman quarterback C.J Stroud was named as the conference's Offensive Player of the Year, as well as the Freshman of the Year, and was named first-team QB.

10-2 Michigan State is awaiting their bowl destination for the holidays.  That will determined once the College Football Playoff committee announces the four teams that will play in the playoff on December 31st.

Most people believe that State would be in one of the New Year's Six bowls if Michigan wins the Big Ten title over Iowa on Saturday.  If Iowa wins, MSU could be headed to Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
