MSU Suspends Two For Holiday Bowl, Announce Bowens Departure
Eight days before Michigan State faces Washington State in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, the Spartan football program announced the loss of defensive lineman Robert Bowens and the suspension of two freshmen, according to MLive on Wednesday afternoon.
MSU head football coach Mark Dantonio announced that freshmen Austin Andrews and Lashawn Paulino-Bell have been suspended for two separate incidents. Dantonio did not elaborate on the incidents.
Bowens, a fourth-year junior, has not been with the team since the Ohio State game in November. Dantonio said that Bowens was "Separated from the team."
