The Spartans merged victorious tonight in their last game of the regular season against Penn State, 33-10. R.J. Shelton let the Nittany Lions know who they were dealing with in the 1st quarter when he ran for a 90 yard opening kickoff return for a TD. Michael Geiger added onto their lead with a 36 yard Field Goal. Geiger kicked another FG for 39 yards to finish off the 1st quarter, 13-0 MSU. Penn State got on the board in the second with a 41 yard field goal kicked by Sam Ficken. But that was it for the scoring in the 1st half, 13-3 MSU. In the 3rd, Jeremy Langford rushed for 3 yards for a TD. Moments Later, Connor Cook threw a 10 yard pass to Tony Lippett for a TD. Penn State got their first and only TD late in the 3rd after Akeel Lynch rushed for 3 yards. Late in the 4th, Langford rushed for 6 yards for the final TD of the Regular Season. Cook dominated in passing for 180 yards. Langford led in rushing for 118 yards, but DaeSean Hamilton led in receiving for 55 yards.
