Michigan State football senior linebacker Joe Bachie (pictured, #35) was named as the Big Ten Conference's Defensive Player of the Week on Monday morning.

Bachie accumulated 14 tackles in Michigan State's 31-10 victory over Northwestern last Saturday afternoon in Evanston, IL.  He also intercepted a pass and recorded a sack in the contest.

This is the fourth time that Bachie has been named as the B1G DPOW during his career.  The 25th ranked Spartans host Indiana next Saturday for homecoming in East Lansing.
