The MSU hockey team beat the University of New Hampshire Wildcats tonight in New Hampshire tonight, 4-3. MSU took a commanding lead in the 1st period starting with a Brent Darnell goal. Minutes later, MSU took a 2-0 lead after Mike Ferrantino scored. The Wildcats didn't take that lying down, with a Tyler Kelleher goal in the second. Grayson Downing tied it all up later with a goal of his own. The Spartans broke the tie late in the second after a Mackenzie MacEachern goal. In the third, Spartans added onto their lead with another Ferrantino goal. New Hampshire tried to come back after a Dan Correale goal, but it wasn't enough. The Spartans and the Wildcats play again tomorrow night, pregame coverage starts 6:30 on Lansing's Sports Station, The Game, 730 AM, WVFN.
