MSU Couldn’t Cut the Cake, Lost to Maryland
Yesterday the MSU hoop team was beaten by Maryland at Maryland.
Maryland started out on a 11-0 run to begin the game. MSU dug themselves into a hole right at the start.
MSU was beaten 73-55. They just couldn’t catch up from that early deficit.
Tom Izzo now has to regroup his team for a Tuesday night clash with the Indiana Hoosiers. That’s in East Lansing with a 8 PM tip. State is now 13-10 overall, and Indiana is 12-12 overall. This game is pivotal for MSU to a have a chance at an NCAA berth.
Tom Izzo is nicknamed Mr. March for a reason. It doesn’t get any easier after Indiana. MSU will play the Michigan Wolverines who are on a roll and are 18-1 as we speak. MSU will clash with UM on Thursday night in Ann Arbor with a 7 PM tip. Then they will play UM Sunday afternoon in East Lansing with a 4:30 PM tip.
Can MSU win just two more games? We’ll see. This team has to cut the cake to get into the NCAA Tournament.
