There has been some Michigan State men's basketball news in the last couple of days.

One prominent player is potentially leaving, while another one says he's staying in East Lansing for another season.

In news that broke on Tuesday afternoon, MSU junior center Julius Marble, II announced that he was entering the transfer portal.

Marble has two years of eligibility left (his sophomore year was the free COVID-19 year of 2020-21).  This does not necessarily mean that Marble will leave East Lansing, but he is opening up his recruitment for other schools.

He was potentially going to be the starting center for MSU next season with the departure of Gabe Brown and Marcus Bingham.  If Marble does actually leave, redshirt sophomore Mady Sissoko and junior Joey Hauser will be the most experienced frontcourt players returning.

As for Hauser, he announced, via his Twitter account, that he will return to MSU for next season.  He has two years of eligibility left.

MSU also has the possibility of freshman guard Max Christie leaving as well.  He has declared for the upcoming NBA Draft.  Christie has until June 1st to withdraw his name and return to school or stay in the Draft.
