The Michigan State men's basketball team got their second verbal commitment for the Class of 2019 on Thursday with the commitment of Malik Hall to the Spartans.

The Detroit News reports that Hall chose MSU over Oregon and fellow Big Ten school Purdue.

Hall is a 6-7 forward out of the state of Kansas.  He went to the same high school as former Spartan Lourawls "Tum Tum" Nairn.  Hall joins Mark "Rocket" Watts, out of suburban Detroit, as MSU's verbal commits so far this year.  Both HS seniors can sign in the early signing period later this month.

The current MSU squad opens their 2018-19 regular season next Tuesday in Chicago against top-ranked Kansas in  the annual Champions Classic.
