The New York Yankees have struck again, signing former Bosox player,Jacoby Ellsbury, to a seven-year contract for $153 million dollars. The Yankees are starting to fortify their roster again, also signing all-star catcher, Brian McCann, formerly of the Braves. Jacoby was part of winning the World Series with the Red Sox . This brash move will make the Boston fan base go bonkers. Everyone should know of the intense rivalry between the Red Sox and Yankees. Ellsbury brings a player with speed, defense, pop in his bat, and a proven leadoff hitter. After spending his first seven years with Boston, Ellsbury will be moving to the Bronx. Now the Yankees can focus on resigning second baseman, Robinson Cano. This rivalry will really heat up this season between the Yankees and Red Sox!
