My names Erica and I'll be your hiking tour guide this evening, thanks for joining me.

I know I complain about bugs and snakes sometimes but one of my hobbies is checking out new hiking trails and then taking a nap in tree in my hammock afterwards. Hey, I never said I was awake for the entire trip.

Last week we talked about a hike in Grand Haven worth checking out called Rosy Mound Natural Area. It's 0.7 miles long but consists of 1,000 stairs. After your glutes are screaming at you from all of those stairs, you get to enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Michigan.

The fun doesn't stop there, I've got another adventure for you.

Mount Pisgah Dune Climb and Boardwalk

If you're looking for a great hike with multiple scenic views, Mt. Pisgah Dune Climb and Boardwalk is the place to be. It's just east of Holland State Park and it's apex is 157 feet above Lake Michigan so you can also view Lake Macatawa, Big Red and several marinas.

If you're waiting for the weather to be a little cooler to get out and explore, good news, next week will be cooler and in the 70s. Or maybe go when the colors are starting to change so you're trip looks a little more like this.

How to Get to Mt. Pisgah

The approximate address for Mt. Pisgah Dune Climb and Boardwalk is 2238 3rd Ave, Holland, MI 49424.

According to Holland.org, it'll be near Ottawa Beach Road and Third Avenue. Look for signage that says "Black Lake Boardwalk East" on Ottawa Beach Road. Once you park, walk roughly 800 feet east and across the road will be the trailhead.

Happy hiking!
