The Results Are In: This Is The Most Popular Airbnb Spot in Michigan
Where in Michigan do you think is the most popular place to book an Airbnb?
I would guess somewhere along the Lake Michigan shoreline, possibly in Grand Haven, Holland, Muskegon, Saugatuck, South Haven, Benton Harbor, or St. Joseph.
Or somewhere in the Upper Peninsula like the Pictured Rocks area.
According to Fox 2 between January and September 2021, 3,100 Michigan Airbnb hosts earned approximately $55 million off of reservations. The typical host earned about $10,700 during that time period.
Grand Traverse County, which includes Traverse City, was the most popular location. According to Airbnb, hosts there made $20 million.
It's easy to see why Traverse City and the surrounding area is so popular
There are so many wineries in the area for people to enjoy during a weekend stay.
Traverse City also hosts the National Cherry Festival every year, which draws in an estimated 500,000 people, all of who need a place to stay.
And the Traverse City Film Festival draws a large crowd as well.
