It seems like it's been a long time since we had a local lottery winner. Remember last year when a guy from Holt won a million dollars in the Powerball drawing? (If you missed that story, you can read about it by clicking here.)

Well, it looks like the lottery drought has to come to an end because according to the Michigan Lottery website, someone in Grand Ledge won a million dollar runner-up prize in the Mega Millions drawing last night. (Friday, February 22nd.) The winning ticket was sold at the Grand Ledge Shell on East Saginaw Highway in Grand Ledge.

The winning numbers were 18-24-31-34-55 and the MegaBall was 4. No one matched all the numbers in Friday's Mega Millions drawing, so that means the jackpot on Tuesday, February 26th is now worth $245 million dollars.
