We are in the homestretch of the girls basketball season.  Two weeks to go before the state tournament, as a matter of fact.  The same three teams who have been undefeated all season long, remain that way.  Lansing Catholic, Portland St. Patrick, and Ovid-Elsie are all 16-0 on the season.

Congratulations to East Lansing for clinching a share of the CAAC Blue with big wins over Holt and DeWitt.  Williamston has put themselves in the discussion for the CAAC Red title after knocking off injury-laden Haslett.  And Stockbridge is now tied with Leslie for the lead in the GLAC after the Lady Panthers beat the Blackhawks last week..

Williamston makes their entrance in this week's poll after the Haslett win.  And there are some other changes in the poll this week, reflecting the results from last week.

There are some big games this week.  On Monday night, it's a great tournament primer for both teams as Fowler faces Portland on the road.  On Tuesday, DeWitt faces Holt in a rematch from a one-point game in January.  On Thursday, longtime rivals do battle again as Fowler faces P-W for the second time.  And then on Friday, 16-0 Lansing Catholic is at 15-1 Portland, and Olivet is at Stockbridge.

Ok, on with this week's poll:

Mid-Michigan High School Girls Basketball Top 10—2/21/2022

Here's a look at the top 10 teams in the Lansing area in girls basketball

We will have the DeWitt at Holt girls game on The Game 730 AM WVFN on Tuesday night.  Brock Palmbos and Erik "Doc" Love have the call, starting at 7:00.  We broadcasted the first DeWitt-Holt game back in January, and it was a one-point victory for Holt.  Maybe it will be the same on Tuesday at Holt HS.
