Mid-Michigan Boys Basketball Top 10 Poll (As Of January 16th)

We are down to three area boys basketball teams that are undefeated as we get closer to the halfway point of the regular season.  They are:  Ionia (7-0), Olivet (9-0), and Laingsburg (10-0).

And we also have only three area teams that have one loss on the season.  They are:  Grand Ledge (7-1), Okemos (8-1), and Ovid-Elsie (7-1).

The big results from last week that jumbled up the poll this week were: Grand Ledge winning on the road at Okemos 50-47 last Thursday.  Ionia took command of the CAAC White with a 49-45 overtime win at home over Charlotte on Friday.  And earlier in the week, DeWitt upset Mason on the road 52-45.

Jumping back in the poll this week were Fowler, Waverly, and St. Johns.  Just missing out were Leslie, Pewamo-Westphalia, and DeWitt.

There are lots of big games this week.  Here's the rundown:

On Monday, Ionia is at Lansing Catholic.  Lansing Christian is at Leslie, Lakewood is at Olivet, and Chesaning is at Ovid-Elsie.

On Tuesday, St. Johns is at Ionia and Springport is at Potterville.  On Wednesday, P-W is at Lansing Catholic.

Then on Thursday, Waverly visits Grand Ledge, Okemos is at Holt, and Stockbridge is at Lakewood.

On Friday, Sexton is at Ionia and Laingsburg is at Potterville.  And Saturday's action features Grand Ledge hosting Lapeer.
