Michigan State fans know how great Jeremy Langford is, having seen him run for 2,900-plus yards and 40 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

But Langford has largely been overlooked nationally.

That may be over now.

On Saturday, Langford posted the fastest 40-yard dash time among running backs at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine. At 4.42, his time bested the likes of Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon (4.52), Nebraska's Ameer Abdullah (4.60) and Alabama's T.J. Yeldon (4.61), both of whom often overshadowed Langford in the spotlight.

Langford had 18 100-yard rushing games at MSU, the third most in school history. He ended his Spartan career by running for at least 100 yards in 15 straight Big Ten conference games (the longest such streak in the FBS since the stat began being tracked in 1996) and 16 straight games against Big Ten opponents.

Langford's 2,967 rushing yards make him the No. 8 all-time rusher in MSU history.
