Michigan State Gets Their Other Two-Sport Athlete
Good news - according to the Detroit Free Press, last night, Adam Berghorst announced on Twitter that he has decided to play both football and baseball at Michigan State, while turning down the chance to play pro baseball for the Texas Rangers, who took him in the 14th round of the baseball draft. And he made his decision just in time. Today (July 8th) is the first day of summer classes and workouts for the football players. (I know he probably had already figured it out a while ago, but, you know - drama)
Adam is a 6-foot-7, 265-pound defensive end/pitcher from Zeeland East High School. This comes after State's other football/baseball recruit, Jase Bowen, decided to take the Pittsburgh Pirates offer to play pro baseball.
I wonder if Adam plays basketball? 6-foot-7? He's got to, right?
And - welcome to all the new Spartans.
