Monday in Ann Arbor an announcement was made that an All-Big Ten defensive back would be staying at Michigan.

Was Jabrill Peppers thinking of transferring? Was he mad about being not utilized on offense more?

No.

It's Jourdan Lewis who is coming back for his senior season. You know, the first team defensive back who actually made a couple of interceptions this year.

Lewis cited his education not being finished at the University of Michigan as the main reason he is coming back.

“My education,” Lewis said. “I haven’t graduated yet.”

“It was my decision, I wanted my degree... No matter what happens, that was always the plan no matter if I was one of the top guys in the (NFL) Draft or not.”

“Cause football isn’t going to last forever, my education will. I think that’s the best move for me. Honestly, I thought ‘Why not? It’s free education.’”

Kudos to you Jourdan Lewis, exemplifying the standard of the word student in a student-athlete.
