Michigan DNR’s “Three Free” Weekend is June 8th and 9th
Come next weekend, you will be able to enjoy much of what Michigan has to offer for free.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is to offer some free fun for those in Michigan. On June 8th and 9th you can fish, ride the trails, and visit state parks for free. Next weekend, get off your lazy ass and take the family somewhere cool.
If you like to fish, there are only two "free fishing" weekend per year. You don't need a license, but all the other normal rules apply. On top of that, you won't have to pay when searching for a new fishing hole. The normal Recreation Passport fee is waived for the weekend at all 103 Michigan parks. This is also only one of two free ORV weekend in Michigan, the other is coming up on August 17-18. Put some miles on your off-road beast and hit Michigan's trails.
