Beer makes the world go round. Okay, maybe not, but it makes my world go round when I drink a little too much. Beer isn't for everyone and to be honest, I don't get it. How do you not enjoy a nice cold beer after a long day at work or when you just got done cutting the lawn and it's 90 degrees out?

The American Homebrewers Association released it's annual rankings of the best beers in America and Bell's Brewery in Michigan made the top five twice! Bell's Two Hearted Ale made #1 for the fourth year in a row and Hopslam made #5. They're two totally different beers if you haven't tried them. Two Hearted is one of my favorite beers, if you've never had it, you've definitely seen it. The label/packaging is green and orange with a picture of a trout. If you're into hoppy beers and never had Hopslam, you should give it a try. If hops aren't your thing, I'm not judging. I'm not the biggest fan of hops but it's still worth trying!

Michigan has tons of breweries to try out. Here's a list of some of my favorite breweries besides Bell's Brewery, if you're ever down to travel around Michigan a bit and try some out.

Atwater Brewery & Tap House - Detroit, MI

Baffin Brewing Company - Saint Clair Shores, MI

Dragonmead Brewery - Warren, MI

Motor City Brewing Works - Detroit, MI

Griffin Claw Brewing Company - Birmingham, MI

Jolly Pumpkin Cafe & Brewery - East Lansing, MI
