It was a huge night last night for the University of Michigan baseball team as they defeated #1 ranked UCLA in the Super Regional by a score of 4-2 to advance to the NCAA College World Series. According to the M Go Blue website, it's been 35 years since the Wolverine baseball team advanced to the College World Series. The last time they advance to the CWS was back in 1984 and it's the eighth time in the program's history that they've advance to the College World Series.

The Wolverines will now play the No. 8-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday, June 15th in the opener of the College World Series. The first pitch for the game from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska will take place at noon or 5 p.m. CDT.
