Belichick Has Matt Patricia on the Patriots’ Offensive Coaching Staff…Are You Kidding Me?

Yesterday it was announced that Bill Belichick, the head coach of the New England Patriots, will have former head coach of the Detroit Lions, Matt Patricia, help with the Patriots' offense. Are you kidding me? This guy is the worst coach the Lions ever had in their history.

He was given the job by another former employee of the Lions, Bob Quinn. Quinn was the old GM who was also canned for a crap performance. He hired his friend Matt Patricia who came from New England under the umbrella of Bill Belichick. Patricia was the defensive coordinator.

So, he stinks it up in Motown and is fired with two years left on his contract. Then he goes back to Belichick with his tail between his legs to ask for a job. It's pathetic how you can smell at a job then just go back to your old place of work.

Matt Patricia was terrible as the Lions' coach. He alienated players and traded players that didn’t agree with his foolish ideas.

So now Bill Belichick, who will go down as one of the greatest NFL head coaches ever, will have his friend Matt Patricia help with his offense. Because his offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels left to take the head coaching position with the Las Vegas Raiders. I understand Belichick’s loyalty to his friend Patricia. But this guy is not a good coach, period. As a matter of fact, he was just plain rotten as the Lions' head coach. A guy like that doesn’t deserve to keep coaching in the NFL.

All I can say is, if the Patriots do well with their offense, I will be appalled! Bill Belichick, are you slipping?
