Make A Move, Detroit Lions!
Your gridiron heroes, the Detroit Lions, are coming off their best regular season performance in years with their 47-9 pasting of the overhyped and overrated Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday.
But unfortunately, they lost their Pro Bowl defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (pictured above) in the second half due to a broken leg suffered when his own teammate (Alim McNeill) hit his leg while they were rushing the passer. (I do not recommend seeing the video, it's pretty gross).

Hutchinson is likely lost for the season. So that means you have two options: Do nothing and hope other guys on your roster step up. Or make a trade to bring in an established pass rusher to fill in for Aidan.
If the Lions were in a rebuild mode, I wouldn't do anything personnel-wise. Just ride it out.
But this Lions team is good enough to contend for the Super Bowl. Therefore, you have to make a trade to get a top-level pass rusher to join this excellent squad.
A lot of fans want the Lions to trade for Las Vegas Raiders D-End Maxx Crosby. Maxx is an Eastern Michigan alum. The Raiders are sellers right now (as evidenced by the Davante Adams trade on Tuesday morning), and may look to unload more salary before the trade deadline (which is November 5th). BTW, Crosby has two years left on his current deal with the Raiders.
Another possibility is disgruntled outside linebacker for the New York Jets Haason Reddick. He has yet to report to the Jets this season because he wants a new contract and the Jets won't give it to him. Reddick is an unrestricted free agent after this season.
Folks, this is the best Lions roster in my lifetime. THE BEST! You have to make a move to show fans you are serious about getting to the Super Bowl and winning it this year. Getting either Crosby or Reddick would show fans you are serious about going all the way.
Lions executive Brad Holmes is a smart guy. Whatever he does, I trust him and his judgement. I think he knows they have to something.
Don't you???!!!
