Mad Dog spends Monday's mantra minute discussing Michigan State freshman Jaren Jackson Jr.'s decision to declare for the draft.

The announcement, which came via an MSU press release, stated Jackson intended to sign with an agent.

Several mock drafts listed Jackson as a potential lottery pick ahead of teammate Miles Bridges who also declared for the NBA draft.

As Dog points out, Jackson had several reasons to leave Michigan State early with the large potential sum of money on the table.

Bridges surprised fans last year when he announced he would return for a sophomore season. As a result, his draft stock has gone down a few positions.

Teammate Nick Ward also declared for the draft, though has no plans to hire an agent.

Ward will have until May 30 to make a final decision of whether to stick with the draft process or back out and return to MSU for a junior season.
