I don't have time to go camping as much as I'd like to, but when I do get a chance, I'll be heading over to Michigan International Speedway. Really, it's a no-brainer. I can take an RV, a pop-up camper, a tent, whatever I want, and set up a site right there where the action is.

When I was at Michigan International Speedway for the Firekeepers Casino 400 this past June, I spoke with many people who come and camp there every year. These people love the ambience and camaraderie that they get by camping directly on site. It’s the perfect venue with a vast area, showers, and bathrooms. All race fans, novice or veteran, will have a blast in this camping area, because you are right on the property to party and enjoy the race. What's not to like?

This is a bucket list for many people, myself included. If you're not convinced yet, let me tell you one more time. I definitely recommend the camping area of Michigan International Speedway to everyone.

You're going to meet great people and have an awesome time, so go and reserve your space now for the August race weekend and see what camping at MIS is all about. Here are some things to keep in mind:

• Tickets: 2 for $99
• Camping starts at $130
• FREE Pit/Driver Introduction pass for everyone 12 and under!
• Kids half price on Sunday
• Saturday Post-Race Concert is FREE with a Sunday admission ticket
