The Lansing Lugnuts and their major league parent club, the Toronto Blue Jays, have announced that they will be continuing their Class A affiliation through the 2020 season.  This according to a press release on Wednesday morning.

The Lugnuts and Blue Jays have been affiliated with each other since 2005.  Lansing's previous major league parent clubs have been the Kansas City Royals and the Chicago Cubs.

2018 marks the 23rd season for the Lansing Lugnuts, they have won a pair of Midwest League titles during their existence (1997 and 2003), and the team will be hosting the Midwest League All-Star game at Cooley Law School Stadium later this summer (June 19th).

The Lugnuts open the 2018 season on Thursday, April 5th at the Great Lakes Loons.  the home opener at Cooley Law School Stadium is at 7:05pm on April 7th against the Loons.
