This news shouldn't really surprise anyone because it's all about supply and demand and since a lot of people aren't driving these days, gas prices continue to drop in Michigan. According to AAA, drivers in Michigan are now paying an average of $1.42 per gallon for regular unleaded and they say that's the lowest price that drivers have seen since December of 2002.

The report from AAA says that the most expensive gas price averages (as of early on 4/27/2020) in Michigan are in Marquette, Traverse City and Jackson. The least expensive gas prices are reportedly in Flint, Grand Rapids and Benton Harbor. AAA says that "pump prices have consistently declined for nine weeks as Americans follow stay at home orders and crude prices remain low due to COVID-19".
