Love The Lugnuts This Week In Lansing
I haven't talked much baseball this spring and I've been knee deep in it since last month. My son plays U10 baseball and I help coach the team. Baseball is my favorite sport, my son has developed his own admiration and love for the game. We have yet to get out to see a Lansing Lugnuts game this year.
Long ago I used to be the onfield emcee for the Lugnuts. The guy who entertains the crowd in between innings. I did that for almost 5 years. It was always a blast and I could appreciate the game shifting towards and entertainment experience rather than just a game. The Lansing Lugnuts games are fun for the whole family.
Family members that might not want to sit through an entire game will have different things they can do during the game. They can go shopping at Nuts N Bolts, the Lansing Lugnuts retail shop. It's located just off the main concourse. If you need some Lugs gear, this is the place to stock up.
With the league rules changing and with the implementation of the "pitch clock", games take far less time to play now then they did in the past. 2 hour games are not unheard of and getting a game in, in under two hours, is a reality too.
The Lugnuts begin their homestand tomorrow night against Lake County and you can get your tickets here. Wednesday is a PRE NOON game and it's a part of their "Dog Days of Summer" promotion, during select games you can bring your dog to the game.
Take the day off of work and get out to enjoy some baseball. Sunday is always Kid's Day at Jackson Field, stick around til after the game and the kids get to run the bases! That's a very cool experience. Don't forget once the season enters May, the Lugnuts do an amazing fireworks display every Friday and Saturday night. It's only on Saturdays during April.
Let's Go Nuts with the Lansing Lugnuts!
