Lions’ Martin Named NFC Special Teams Player Of The Week
Detroit Lions punter Sam Martin has been named as the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday by the National Football League.
Martin had four punts for a nearly 59 yard average in the team's victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Martin signed a contract extension to remain with the team before the regular season started last week.
Detroit hosts Tennessee on Sunday in the home opener at Ford Field.
