With the NFL regular season about to kick off, ESPN put together a list of the 100 best players. The Lions were not well represented.

The Lions only had one player listed in the entire 100, and I'll give you one guess where he landed on the list. That's right . . . Darius Slay landed at 100 on the list, and he is the only Lion on the list.

Last year the Lions had three players on the list, and last year was a dumpster fire, so maybe this is a good thing.

Things could be worse for football fans in Michigan considering that both Washington and Tennessee had no players on the list.

The list is put together by 40 NFL analysts, and basically rates the potential that a player has to perform in the upcoming season. Most people are picking the Lions to finish last in their division so the list might not be far off.

The Lions play their final pre-season game Thursday against the Browns, and kickoff the regular season in Arizona on September 8th.
