Lansing’s Top 10 High School Football Teams (After Week 3)
We had some interesting results last weekend that shake up the poll this week. First up, the 0-2 Holt Rams went to Grand Ledge and beat the 2-0 Comets 14-6. The Rams forced five turnovers and blocked a punt for a safety, which helped them win.
We also saw DeWitt take perennial power Detroit Catholic Central to overtime on the road before losing 45-38. The Panthers were not penalized severely in the poll for playing top competition on the road.
Charlotte rallied from behind to beat Lansing Catholic 16-13 to go to 3-0 and send the Cougars to 0-3. Williamston and Mason won easily to set up a big clash this week between 3-0 teams at Williamston.
Also, Fowler whipped Bath to stay undefeated. And Waverly continued their great start with a big home win over Everett.
After three weeks, we have only six undefeated 11-player teams (East Lansing, Waverly, Mason, Williamston, Charlotte, and Fowler), and two 8-player teams who are perfect so far (Portland St. Patrick and Morrice).
Ok, here's a look at this week's top 10 poll:
