Lansing Police Department Closes Downtown Headquarters to the Public

The Lansing Police Department has announced that they are closing their downtown headquarters to the public until further notice.

Here's what you need to know regarding any business you may have to do at the Lansing Police Department's downtown headquarters:

• If you need to obtain a traffic crash report, please go to policereports.lexisnexis.com.
• To request a copy of a police report, you'll need to visit the Lansing Police Department website at lansingmi.gov/police.
• The Lansing Police Department will NOT be issuing any firearm purchase permits until further notice.
• Firearm registrations should be mailed to: Lansing Police Department, Attention: Central Records, 120 W. Michigan Avenue, Lansing Michigan, 48933
• All fingerprinting services and background checks have been suspended until further notice.
• Also, no sex offender registration or PBT until further notice.
