The Lansing Lugnuts announced on Tuesday morning a new seven-year deal with Jackson National Life Insurance company to sponsor the name of the stadium formerly known as Oldsmobile Park and Cooley Law School Stadium.

The new name will be Jackson Field.  It takes effect immediately and runs through 2027.

The Lansing Lugnuts were set to play their 25th anniversary season in 2020.  But because of the coronavirus pandemic, this season was canceled.

Lugnuts owner Tom Dickson remarked on the announcement:

“This is an immensely important day for us, we’ve had a strong relationship with Jackson for the last 10 years and we’re excited to take this next step forward, signing a long-term investment that will benefit the City of Lansing and Mid-Michigan in the next decade.”

Most if not all of the Lugnuts planned promotions for 2020 will be in effect for 2021.  And Jackson is sponsoring events that are slated to come this fall.
