The Lansing Lugnuts' longest serving employee, team president Nick Grueser, will step down from his role in February, according to the team on Thursday morning.

Grueser had been with the team in various capacities since 2001.  He was named team president in 2017, he was the team's general manager from 2012-17.

Lugnuts general manager Tyler Parsons will assume Grueser's role while team owner Tom Dickson searches for a new Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.

The Lansing Lugnuts are the Class A affiliate (in the Midwest League) of the Toronto Blue Jays.  The team will enter their 25th season of existence in 2020.
