Lansing Catholic Volleyballer Named HS Athlete of the Week
This week's High School Student-Athlete of the Week, brought to you by Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission, is Kyra Vukovic. She's a sophomore on the Lansing Catholic High School volleyball team.
Kyra is having a great season for the lady Cougars so far. The middle hitter is the team leader in kills and among the team leaders in blocks.
At the Mason Bulldog Invitational last Saturday, Kyra accumulated 37 kills and seven blocks as she led the Cougars to a 5-0-1 record and first place at the Mason Invite.
And then this past Tuesday, she was one of the team leaders in their straight sets victory over CAAC White rival Portland.
The Cougars are off to an 11-1-1 start this season. And Kyra will be counted on to help Catholic challenge perennial area power Lakewood for the CAAC White title this season.
Kyra is a great student as she carries a 3.88 grade point average. And she plays basketball on the varsity basketball team this coming winter after being on the varsity team last year as a freshman.
Congratulations to Lansing Catholic HS sophomore Kyra Vukovic of the school's volleyball team. She's the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
And it's brought to you all season long by Dowding Industries and by the Lansing Sports Commission.
