Josie completed her debut season in high school running as an All-Stater,  She finished 20th in the Division 3 state championship meet last week at Michigan International Speedway with an excellent time of 19:01.8.

And more importantly, she led her team to the Division 3 state team title as four of her teammates finished in the top 60 in the final race as the lady Cougars beat runner-up Pewamo-Westphalia by 11 points in the final standings.

Josie is a great student, with a 4.0 grade point average.  And she is a three-sport athlete at LCHS, playing basketball in the winter and running track this coming spring.

You can nominate a Student-Athlete of the Week by going to the Lansing Sports Network app.
