As first reported by David "Mad Dog" DeMarco this morning, 12th year Head Coach of Lansing Catholic boys basketball Darren Zwick has decided to retire to pursue a job opportunity in Florida.

Zwick made the announcement last night at the team banquet.  The Cougars were 12-9 this season.  They shared the CAAC White championship with Williamston before losing in the district tournament to Fowlerville.

Zwick led the Cougars to the Class B state title in 2008 with a one-point victory over Flint Powers.

Zwick was an assistant at Catholic for four seasons before taking over the head coaching job in the fall of 2004.
