We are now down to four undefeated teams in the Mid-Michigan area after DeWitt and Lakewood suffered their first loss of the season on Friday night.

Holt's loss to Jackson knocks them out of the poll, and there's other changes to this week's poll.

    1

    Portland (8-0, 5-0)

    Last Week: No. 1

The outright CAAC White champions blew out Olivet 59-19 on the road.  Only a strong Marshall squad stands in the way of a 9-0 regular season.

    Grand Ledge (8-0, 6-0)

    Last Week: No. 3

Overcame SEVEN turnovers to beat East Lansing 31-21 at home.  The Comets visit their arch-rivals in the Holt Rams on Friday.

    Pewamo-Westphalia (8-0, 7-0)

    Last Week: No. 5

Won the outright CMAC championship with a surprisingly easy win over Fowler.  Running back Jared Smith is almost at 2,000 yards for the season.  Could be another long playoff run for the Pirates.

    Ithaca (8-0, 7-0)

    Last Week: No. 6

The Yellow Jackets have been dominant this season.  Another trip to Ford Field is a possibility, if not a likelihood.

Tough, tough loss to an excellent Menominee team on the road.  But it could be an excellent primer for the postseason for the Panthers.

    7

    Dansville (7-1, 6-1)

    Last Week: No. 8

The CMAC runners-up will likely be 8-1 entering the playoffs as they host winless Vermontville Maple Valley.  Should get at least one home game in the postseason.

    8

    Lakewood (7-1, 5-0)

    Last Week: No. 4

Nearly came back to beat Fowlerville.  Should be able to beat Ionia to close the season.  Nick Boucher is the area coach of the year after leading the Vikings to a GLAC title.

    Jackson (6-2, 5-2)

    Last Week: Unranked
