Lansing-Area High School Football Power Rankings
We are now down to four undefeated teams in the Mid-Michigan area after DeWitt and Lakewood suffered their first loss of the season on Friday night.

Portland (8-0, 5-0)
Last Week: No. 1The outright CAAC White champions blew out Olivet 59-19 on the road. Only a strong Marshall squad stands in the way of a 9-0 regular season.

Grand Ledge (8-0, 6-0)
Last Week: No. 3Overcame SEVEN turnovers to beat East Lansing 31-21 at home. The Comets visit their arch-rivals in the Holt Rams on Friday.

Pewamo-Westphalia (8-0, 7-0)
Last Week: No. 5Won the outright CMAC championship with a surprisingly easy win over Fowler. Running back Jared Smith is almost at 2,000 yards for the season. Could be another long playoff run for the Pirates.

Ithaca (8-0, 7-0)
Last Week: No. 6The Yellow Jackets have been dominant this season. Another trip to Ford Field is a possibility, if not a likelihood.

DeWitt (7-1, 5-0)
Last Week: No. 2Tough, tough loss to an excellent Menominee team on the road. But it could be an excellent primer for the postseason for the Panthers.

Lansing Catholic (7-1, 5-1)
Last Week: No. 7A great preparation for the playoffs await the Cougars. They head to the defending Division 6 champion Monroe St. Mary CC to close the regular season.

Dansville (7-1, 6-1)
Last Week: No. 8The CMAC runners-up will likely be 8-1 entering the playoffs as they host winless Vermontville Maple Valley. Should get at least one home game in the postseason.

Lakewood (7-1, 5-0)
Last Week: No. 4Nearly came back to beat Fowlerville. Should be able to beat Ionia to close the season. Nick Boucher is the area coach of the year after leading the Vikings to a GLAC title.

Last Week: UnrankedCrushed an improving Holt team at home on Friday. But now they take on arch-rival Lumen Christi to close the regular season.

St. Johns (6-2, 4-1)
Last Week: UnrankedThe Red Wings are back in the poll after cruising past Fruitport 37-14. A win over Goodrich could secure a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
