Lansing-Area High School Football Power Rankings: Week 6
Dansville's 21-19 upset victory over Fowler on the road has changed the rankings near the bottom of this week's poll. But the top 7 remains the same.
6 area teams are undefeated--they can all qualify for the playoffs if they win this week.

Last Week: No. 1Portland survived a long delay due to lighting to beat Ionia easily and maintain the number 1 ranking this week. Williamston awaits in Week 7.

Grand Ledge (5-0, 3-0)
Last Week: No. 2Rallied from two scores down to beat Jackson at home. Still have an improved East Lansing and Holt on the schedule before another likely playoff berth.

DeWitt (5-0, 3-0)
Last Week: No. 3Crushed Owosso 52-14 to stay unbeaten. The Panthers invade their arch-rivals, Haslett this week. Still has St. Johns and Menominee before another likely playoff run.

Lakewood (5-0, 3-0)
Last Week: No. 4The Vikings are 5-0 for the first time since 1974. Two more wins give them their first ever GLAC title. Nick Boucher is the top candidate for area coach of the year at this point.

Pewamo-Westphalia (5-0, 3-0)
Last Week: No. 5Destroyed Fulton 49-7. They have one of the best running backs in the area in Jared Smith, who is already over 1,000 yards for the season.

Lansing Catholic (4-1, 2-1)
Last Week: No. 6Rebounded well after losing to Portland in Week 5. Beat Fowlerville on the road 49-0. Their homecoming game is Saturday at "The Rockpile" against Ionia.

Last Week: No. 7Bombed Waverly at home 49-14. They have two great running backs in Blake Stewart and Steven Linton. Awaiting their Week 7 showdown with DeWitt.

Last Week: No. 9Ithaca faces their toughest regular season test this week in Saginaw Michigan Lutheran Seminary. If they win, it's a walk to 9-0.

Last Week: UnrankedHuge win on the road at Fowler gives them a shot at a home game in the playoffs. Still in the running for a piece of the CMAC title.

Last Week: UnrankedA very nice 35-26 win at Eaton Rapids puts them in position for a share of the CAAC White title. Week 7 at Portland will decide it.
