No changes in the top seven in this week's poll as last week's top seven teams were victorious last Friday night.  But a few changes near the bottom.

The top games this week include:  Grand Ledge at East Lansing, Menominee at DeWitt, Olivet at Portland, P-W at Fowler, and Bath is at Laingsburg.

On with this week's rankings.

    Pewamo-Westphalia (7-0, 6-0)

    Last Week: No. 1

The Pirates took care of winless Potterville 80-0.  Add over 200 yards and 3 TD's to Jared Smith's season total.  But QB Ryan Smith is also having a great year for coach Jeremy Miller.

The annual rivalry game with Fowler awaits this Friday night.

    Portland (7-0, 5-0)

    Last Week: No. 2

Rallied from a first-half deficit to defeat Williamston and win their second straight CAAC White title.  The devastating offense combo of Austin Allison, Logan Lefke, and Gabe Schrauben continue to lead the way for the Red Raiders.

They finish the season with Olivet and Marshall, no lock wins, but they will be favored to win both and finish 9-0 before the playoffs starts.

    3

    Grand Ledge (6-1, 5-0)

    Last Week: No. 3

The Comets continue to play close games in CAAC Blue play, but they're still winning.  Everett fell 28-21 last Friday.

DeWitt is playing better than GL right now, but the Comets remain ahead of the Panthers because of the Week 2 victory at GL.

This Friday's game against East Lansing is one they could lose, however.

    4

    DeWitt (6-1, 5-0)

    Last Week: No. 4

The Panthers are playing great right now.  They won their 10th straight league title last Friday after taking out St. Johns 27-7.

They host Menominee on Friday.  That'll be tough.  But DeWitt looks fantastic.

    Lakewood (7-0, 5-0)

    Last Week: No. 5

The Vikings clinched their second straight GLAC title with a 56-34 victory over winless Leslie.

They host Charlotte before visiting Ionia to finish up the regular season.  The playoffs (likely Division 5) will be tough for Lakewood.

    Lansing Catholic (6-1, 4-1)

    Last Week: No. 6

The Cougars continue to roll along, taking care of Eaton Rapids 42-28 on Friday.

They have a chance to move up in the poll if they can beat Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard and Monroe St. Mary CC in the last two weeks.

    7

    Ithaca (7-0, 5-0)

    Last Week: No. 7

The Yellow Jackets have been challenged a little bit more this regular season with closer games against Clare, Ovid-Elsie, and Saginaw Michigan Lutheran Seminary.

But Ithaca has won 99 out of 102 games.  And bet against them in the playoffs at your own risk.

    8

    Mason (6-1, 4-1)

    Last Week: No. 8

With all the players that the Bulldogs have lost, Head coach Jerry VanHeuvel has to be considered for area Coach of the Year.

They struggled mightily with winless Owosso, and that almost dropped them down.  But they should be 7-1 after they play Detroit Voyageur this Friday.

    9

    East Lansing (5-2, 4-1)

    Last Week: Unranked

The Trojans make their return to the poll after a 21-6 victory over Sexton.  Kentre Patterson and Hunter Helmic have had nice seasons for coach Bill Feraco.

EL can really shake up the rankings if they beat Grand Ledge on Friday.  It could realistically happen.

    10

    Laingsburg (6-1, 5-1)

    Last Week: No. 9

The Wolfpack got a forfeit win over Saranac to qualify for the playoffs.

The County Line Trophy is on the line when they face improved Bath.  That's a good primer for them in the upcoming playoffs.
