Grand Ledge's 28-21 victory over DeWitt shakes up the rankings for this week.  Impressive wins by Portland and P-W jostles the top five as well.

Mason makes their debut in the rankings after getting off to a 2-0 start.  It's hard to believe that after just two weeks, everybody in the CAAC Blue has at least one loss.

But there's a surprise at number 1 for this week, let's get to the rankings.

    Last Week: No. 3

    The Pirates looked awesome, defeating Dansville 64-0 last Friday.  Jared Smith scored three touchdowns and didn't even play in the second half.

    They've got Laingsburg and Fowler later on in the season, but 9-0 is looking like a real possibility.

    The Red Raiders won easily over Hillsdale on Friday.  They get to host Lansing Catholic later in the season in a huge revenge game.

    Coach John Novara has depth all over the place, and look very strong right now.

    Kyle Willett is off to great start this season for the Vikings.  An impressive win over Belding moves them up this week.

    Olivet and Stockbridge are on the schedule later in the year, those games will decide the GLAC title in 2016.

    The Cougars got another good win on Friday, knocking off Everett on the road.

    Their arch-rivals in Williamston invade Cougar Stadium on Friday.  The rematch with Portland is just a few weeks away.

    The Comets got a gigantic 28-21 win over DeWitt last Friday night.

    Antonio Rush was excellent, and he'll need to continue that as the CAAC Blue schedule opens with Sexton this Friday.

    The Panthers fell victim to turnovers and penalties versus Grand Ledge on Friday.  They have their home opener this Friday against Waverly.  They'll have to clean up those mistakes if they want to get to 2-1.

    The Bulldogs are off to a surprising 2-0 start.  They've got two nice wins over Okemos and Eaton Rapids to start the year.

    The Chiefs got a stunning 30-6 victory over Ann Arbor Skyline last Friday, holding future MSU Spartan Hunter Rison to just one catch.

    If they win at Everett on Friday, the Chiefs can seriously be considered for a playoff berth.
